LE Dynamic Carbine & Pistol with Cam Prosperi | 9/19 to 9/20/26
This is your two-day, advanced carbine and pistol course for law enforcement officers, focusing strictly on practical performance and movement. The purpose of the course is to introduce the officer to concepts of practical shooting, with a heavy emphasis on the fundamentals at speed and “while moving.” Officers will be tested with a competition-style drill, known as a “stage,” on both days to ultimately test their ability to execute the fundamentals and apply shooting principles as fast and efficiently as they can.
Day #1 is for pistol; day #2 is mostly carbine with some transition-to-pistol work. Here’s what officers can expect:
• Principles of Grip
• Principles of Vision
• Proper Connection to the Carbine
• Trigger Control at Speed
• Entering & Exiting Shooting Positions
• Shooting “While Moving”
• Reloading Considerations
• Target Types (High v Low Risk)
• Rifle-to-Pistol Transitions
• Practical Application (the “Stage”)
Training Duration: (16) Hours. Training begins at 9:00 AM on Day #1 (gate opens at 8:30 AM) and ends (roughly) at 5:00 PM on Day #2. There are short break for lunch.
Training Location: Granby Bow & Gun Club, 85 Chicopee Street, Granby, MA 01033.
Required Gear: semi-auto pistol, carbine (zero prior to training) with adjustable sling, outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster, at least three magazines and two magazine holders per gun, ear and eye protection, durable outer wear, lunch, and water.
Estimated Round Count: 700 pistol, 500 carbine.
This course is non-refundable. In the event the instructor cancels the course due to weather, students will have the option of a full refund or “credit” toward a future course.
